The new coach will be paid a salary rate of around US$15,000 a month, according to a senior official of the football governing body of Vietnam.
He will have around a month to watch Vietnam’s V-League matches to select players and announce his team in June.
Mr. Toshiya Miura started his coach career in 1997 at the J-League club Vegalta Sendai before coming to other clubs as Mito Holly Hock, Omiya Ardija, Sapporo, Vissel Kobe, Ventforet Kofu from 1998 – 2011.
He was awarded coaching certificate of ‘S’ level by the Japanese football federation, which is equivalent to the professional coaching certificate granted by the Asian Football Confederation.
In addition, he won a coaching certificate of ‘A’ level granted by the German football federation, which is recognized by European football association (UEFA).
He also studied at the faculty of medicine and physical fitness training at Iwate University, Japan.
Coach Miura replaces Vietnamese coach Hoang Van Phuc, who left the post after failure at recent football tournaments in early 2014.
