Nhan Dan – The Vietnam men’s national football team maintained its
place atop Southeast Asian rankings this month despite dropping seven
notches to 123rd with 242 points in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world
ranking announced on June 5.
The drop narrowed Vietnam’s gap to just 25 points against runners-up, the Philippines, who rocketed 11 places to 128th in the world, scoring 217 points. Myanmar also enjoyed a stunning 14-rung leap to 159th in the world and seventh in the region.
