19/11/2011 (Indonesia) U23 Indonesia 2-0 U23 Vietnam (2011 SEA Games - Semi Final)

The host Indonesia defeated Vietnam 2-0 in the second semifinal game today and will face defending champion Malaysia on November 21 at the 26th SEA Games.

The host Indonesia opened the score in the 61st minute from a free kick on right side. Vietnam goalie Buu Ngoc touched the ball from a diving shot but it slipped through his hands and went into the left corner.

Indonesia doubled the score in the 85th minute from a shot by Bonai. The ball hit a Vietnam defender and diverted its direction to go into the goal.

On the Gelora Bung Karno stadium with capacity of 80,000 seats, both sides exchanged relentless attacks towards rival goal frame. Indonesia had slightly better ball possession during the first half of the breath-taking game which is played with quick tempo.

Indonesia created a pressing style of playing all over the field. However, they have met with Vietnam steadfast defence which is deployed to create no space for the rivals to handle the ball. Vietnamese goalkeeper Buu Ngoc has twice saved shots by Indonesian players. Ngoc has recovered from head injury for colliding with a rival and returned to his work on the field.
